【SET076】≪Hyuga Suwabute Go Stones Festival≫Limited Go Set (Snow Grade, Size 34, Shima-Kuwa (Premium Island Mulberry) Go Bowls)
【Hyuga Suwabute Go Stones Festival - Limited Go Set】
This product set includes Hyuga Suwabute Go stones in Snow grade of Size 34 and Shima-Kuwa (Premium Island Mulberry) Go bowls, offering a superb price value!
The Go stones are made from Suwabute clamshells, a unique species of clam in the whole world that can only be collected on Okuragahama Beach in Hyuga City of Miyazaki prefecture. It features an exceptionally refined striped pattern, high quality, and stain resistance.
However, Suwabute clamshells were depleted about 30 years ago. They can no longer be found alongshore in Hyuga, which is why they are also called "The Dreamlike Go Stones."
Go bowls are made of Shima-Kuwa (Premium Island Mulberry), a high-quality type of wood with the characteristics of it shining gold under proper lighting. Its texture and color become finer and deeper over time as a natural breathing material.
