The scale is finished with a ridge crafted using genuine lacquer and a traditional Japanese katana by a master Go board craftsman.
The top surface of this Go board features only a 2cm wide Itame grain, it one of top-quality Kiura Board. While there are minor, barely noticeable imperfections from the bottom to the side, these do not affect its overall quality. Additionally, the grain pattern includes natural nodes, which are not cracks but unique wood patterns.

This product has been stored for about 10 years after production, so its luster may be slightly inferior to other go bowls.
