This is a set of a beautiful maki-e Go board and Go bowl with the Aoi crest inherited from the Owari Tokugawa family, one of the top three families with Hyuga Suwabute Clamshell Go Stones(Moon Grade, Size 31)
The Gosan-ke(three families) are the Owari Tokugawa family, the Kishu Tokugawa family, and the Mito Tokugawa family, which had the right to succeed to the shogunate in addition to the Tokugawa shogun family during the Edo period.
