Rosewood is one of rare hardwood from the tropical regions, and its logs are also difficult to acquire under an embargo on exports.


The Go bowl has been refurbished from a prized wooden Go bowl. Some of them may not be as shiny as new ones, but they are as good as the best wooden go-chests, and since they are completely dried, it will not happen that the lid and bowl will not fit.   It is said that precious wood is at its strongest when it is 500 years old after it has been cut down, and the Go Bowls wood that has been cut down for 20 or 30 years is still gaining strength and can be used with confidence.
