This is a rare and valuable Go stone set featuring exceptionally thick Suwabute clam stones, comparable to Snow Grade No. 37 in size. 
Go bowls set is made from Shima-Kuwa (Premium Island Mulberry), a type of wood produced in Mikura-Jima. This island is under the jurisdiction of Tokyo. Since most of the mulberry trees have been depleted, which becomes extremely rare and increasingly valuable.

Shima-Kuwa is a rare type of wood produced in Mikura-Jima, an island in Japan. However, most trees have withered due to volcanic gases from the neighbored island, Miyake-Jima. It has become difficult to obtain and scarce.
