This is a thick, floor-standing Shogi board crafted from Kyushu Hon-Kaya, featuring the prestigious Tenchi-Masa.
The underside is specially finished to allow professional players to leave their commemorative calligraphy (Kigo) after a title match. Originally used by the 15th Lifetime Meijin, Yasuharu Oyama, this board has been masterfully restored by the "Contemporary Master Craftsman" Kenichi Kumasu.
The set includes premium accessories: Shima-Kuwa (island mulberry) piece stands and a piece box featuring exquisite grain patterns, along with Paulownia storage cases for the stands.
